The Lehighton Ford dealership is one that is rich in history, with the original Ford dealership opening its doors on Iron Street in 1945. In 1949, Lehighton Ford would make a move to 1st street. However, our current lot started off as the Moyer & Haupt Edsel dealership in 1957. The original Ford dealership would eventually become Bennett Lehighton Ford, and the Edsel dealership would pick up American Motors in 1960. After purchasing Moyer & Haupt on November 29th, 1986, what was known as Bennett Lehighton Ford would move from Lehighton’s 1st Street to where it sits now on Blakeslee Blvd. Some years later in 2002, the Lehighton Lincoln Mercury would purchase Bennett Lehighton Ford. However, in 2010, with Mercurys no longer being made; Lehighton Ford Lincoln Mercury would become a dealer specializing in only Fords. Thus, becoming the Lehighton Ford we know today.
